Caucasus Grand Slam:
Combined Tur Hunt in Russia
A combined hunt represents the pinnacle of mountain hunting in the Caucasus, allowing the hunter to harvest several iconic trophies in a single trip. Specifically designed for collectors aiming to achieve the Capra World Slam (SCI) awards with maximum efficiency.
We are the only company with our own bases and resources in all three Caucasus regions simultaneously. This guarantees smooth logistics, a single accompanying team, and significant savings.
Total optimization for the international hunter
Organizing multiple trips to the Caucasus in different years involves a huge logistical and economic burden (multiple flights, visas, firearm imports, and repeated acclimatization times). Our Caucasus Grand Slam program unifies the experience for Safari Club International (SCI) members and aspirants to the coveted Capra World Slam.
Key Advantages:
- · Time and money savings: A single flight ticket, a single visa, and a single temporary firearm import permit to hunt 2 or 3 different species.
- · Continuous acclimatization: By linking camps, your body is already acclimated to the altitude for the second or third trophy, drastically improving your physical performance and well-being in the mountains.
- · Seamless logistics: Since we own grounds in all three regions (Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Dagestan), transfers between hunting areas are done in our own VIP vehicles, without changing outfitters or using middlemen.
* Note: The difficulty of a combined expedition is extreme. High physical and psychological stamina is required for extended stays (10 to 14 days) in the high mountains, although the use of our Caucasian horses minimizes fatigue during ascents.
Combination Options (How it works)
Our routes have been tested and perfected to guarantee smooth transitions between the different republics of the mountain range.
Mid-Caucasian Tur + Kuban Tur
The most popular combination. It takes place at the intersection of the central and western parts of the main range, moving from the foothills of Mount Elbrus to the steep terrain of the Western Caucasus.
Transfer Logistics
We start at the Elbrus base camp (Kabardino-Balkaria). Once the Mid-Caucasian Tur is harvested, we descend the mountain and take a comfortable 4x4 ground transfer (only 2–3 hours) directly to the Karachay-Cherkessia hunting grounds (Kuban Tur).
Key Facts
Recommended duration: 10 total days.
Savings: Avoids lost days on domestic flights.
View Kuban Tur View Mid TurMid-Caucasian Tur + Dagestan Tur
The perfect morphological contrast: we go from the intermediate horns of the central region to the massive, unique cylindrical shape of the Dagestan Tur (Eastern Caucasian Tur).
Transfer Logistics
We start hunting in the mountains of the Mid-Caucasian Tur. Following success and a well-deserved rest, we take an interregional ground transfer (5–6 hours) across the Caucasus to the steep rocky canyons of the Republic of Dagestan.
Key Facts
Recommended duration: 10 to 12 total days.
Difficulty: High technical demand in the Dagestan section.
View Dagestan Tur View Mid TurFull Grand Slam (The 3 Caucasus Turs)
An epic journey across the entire Caucasus mountain range, reserved for the most experienced hunters. Kuban Tur, Mid-Caucasian Tur, and Dagestan Tur in a single expedition.
Transfer Logistics
A carefully planned route from West to East (or vice versa, depending on the weather forecast). Our team manages the rotation of horses, supplies, and permits between the three republics simultaneously, ensuring you only focus on the hunt.
Key Facts
Recommended duration: Minimum 14 total days.
Result: Complete collection of the species for the Capra World Slam in a single trip.

Frequently Asked Questions — Combined Hunting
No. All three regions (Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Dagestan) belong to the Russian Federation. A single electronic visa covers the entire combined expedition.
Once the first trophy is harvested, we head down to the city, take a hot shower, sleep in a comfortable hotel, and the next day we transfer in our comfortable 4x4 vehicles to the next republic. There is no need to take tedious domestic flights.
This is the great advantage of the combo. If luck and weather permit, we advance the transfer to the next camp immediately. Our entire team in the other region is on alert and ready to receive you earlier than planned, maximizing your effective hunting days for the second trophy.
Our logistics are flexible. Being the owners of all the hunting grounds involved in the Grand Slam, our CEO Marat adjusts the days on the fly, allocating more time to the species presenting greater difficulty based on real-time weather conditions.
Absolutely. When you book a combined expedition, we immediately block and acquire the government licenses in your name in the corresponding republics for the exact dates of your trip.
For the 3 turs, a flat-trajectory caliber (.300 Win Mag) or .338 Lapua Mag is recommended. Optics must include a minimum 3-18x50 riflescope and an angle-compensating rangefinder (mandatory). As for clothing, a layering system (merino wool, fleece, down, Gore-Tex) and stiff mountain boots (Vibram) are essential. A basic first aid kit with loperamide and ibuprofen is critical due to altitude and diet changes between republics.
Following the principles of 'Fair Chase', if blood is found after a shot authorized by the guide ('OK'), the trophy is considered harvested (100% payment). Our guides will conduct an exhaustive search for the wounded animal before considering moving on to the next republic. Shooting without the guide's direct confirmation terminates the hunt for that specific species, and the trophy must be paid for regardless.
In the event of a clean miss, where the guide confirms there is no blood trail, we will continue hunting that species for the remaining time allocated to that camp before the scheduled transfer. If severe weather conditions make it impossible to harvest one of the combo trophies, you will be offered the possibility to return at a later date paying only the daily rates for that remaining species, or a proportional refund (35%) will be issued for the unharvested trophy.
Testimonials — Caucasus Expeditions
"Outstanding organization. We hunted 3 turs in the same trip and practically in the same area. The guides' work, territory preparation, and Real Hunt's management speak for themselves. I'll definitely be back."
Jorge Madrazo · Spain · 2025"I hunted the Mid-Caucasian and Dagestan combo. The logistics between republics was perfect. A hot shower midway and the next day in the other camp. Highly recommended."
Augusto Palamar · Argentina · 2024"The ultimate challenge. Doing two turs back-to-back is demanding, but the time saved is incredible and being already acclimated for the second trophy is key."
Klaus W. · Bavaria, Germany · 2024Why Choose Us for your Grand Slam?
While other agencies subcontract parts of the combo to third parties, we manage our own hunting grounds in Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Dagestan, ensuring the same quality standard from start to finish.
Our CEO personally oversees the interregional routes. At the slightest weather setback in one area, he can relocate teams and change the trip order within hours.
All combined expeditions in 2025 concluded with the successful location of all target species of the journey.
